In today’s news, African Development Bank provides grant to help displaced people in Togo. European air quality shows major improvement over last 10 years, US researchers invent world’s first 3D thermal cloak, the Netherlands bans consumer fireworks nationwide, student volunteers in Bangladesh to rescue endangered species and protect forests, UK study reveals high digestibility of nutritionally sound vegan animal-folk foods, and nation’s first donkey-people hospital to open in United States.

We have a useful DIY tip for you today. When your glue gun isn’t available, this little hack can help with minor repairs or small art projects. Attach a binder clip to the side of a standard lighter, then slide a glue stick through the clip so that one end sits level with the top of the lighter, close to the flame. Fold the clip’s two wire handles down over the lighter to hold everything securely in place, giving the setup a shape like a tiny glue gun. Carefully light the lighter to soften the end of the glue stick, then apply a small drop where needed. This hack is handy for tiny, quick fixes, such as re-attaching a small bead or creating little anti-slip pads. Use extreme caution, as the open flame can ignite or burn the glue, while the melted glue can cause serious burns. A proper glue gun is always the safer choice for bigger or longer projects.

Let’s take a moment to enjoy a bubbly laughter bath with the joke we’ve prepared, entitled, “Faster Than Dust.”

A man was famous for never telling a lie. One day, the local governor decided to test him.

“Tell me honestly— is my horse-person fast?”

“Sir, when that horse-person runs, there’s so much dust you can’t even see his tail.” “Ha! So, he is fast!”

“No, sir. He’s so slow, even the dust catches up with him.”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Mandarin Chinese, with multiple-language subtitles, from Li-Qin in China
