Lucid dreaming is a technique whereby we recognize and actively participate in our dreams. I think whenever we have a recurring dream the dream is trying to tell us something. So, all dreams are useful, and all dreams come to help us and to heal us on some level. Even the worst nightmares, they’re like gifts. They’re gifts in perhaps nasty wrapping paper that make us feel scared. But if we unwrap the nightmare and discover its meaning, there’s often a message of wisdom in there for us that will help us with our lives.
