Just came back from a quick check of the crops and they’re looking good. How about yours? I have a tip for you on how to grow better corn. Each corn stalk pollinates the corn surrounding it; so avoid growing them in a single, long row, since wind can blow the pollen out of the row resulting in kernels not forming on some areas of the ears. Instead, plant your corn in a clump or blocks of at least four rows. Additionally, corn must self-pollinate or pollinate from a similar type, which is why different types of corn should not be grown near each other. You may notice poorer flavor and texture if the varieties cross-pollinate. Isolation by space or time is required to avoid mingling of kernel color and other types of corn. You can grow them at a distance from each other or plant one type of corn earlier than the other so there’s a difference in pollen production time.

Cheerfulness is in your nature, and this joke of the day is a reminder. It’s called, “The Messy Room.”

A mother stood outside her son’s bedroom and called in.

“Did you clean your room yet?”

“Yes, Mom. I cleaned the floor.”

She opened the door and found toys, books, and clothes still scattered everywhere.

“This room is still a mess!”

“I know. But the floor itself is clean now... all the stuff is just on top of it.”

!?

And now we have a heartline in Mandarin Chinese, with multiple-language subtitles, from I-Fei in Taiwan, also known as Formosa
