One of the benefits of meeting with friends from around the world is you get to try new vegan foods all the time. Have you ever tried durians? Although they have a distinctive smell, many people think they have a great taste. Durians are one of the most nutritious fruits. They are high in fiber— one cup (240 grams) provides approximately nine grams of fiber, also, protein, carbohydrates, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and magnesium. Surprisingly, durians have lots of vitamin C— one cup offers 80 percent of the daily recommended value! Durians have a creamy texture that make them easy to transform into delectable desserts, smoothies, and vegan ice-cream.

Joanna, a nine-year-old, was away at summer camp. She sent two letters home. One was addressed to mom, and the other to dad. The sweet, short note to mom said:
