Recent research from Australia’s University of Technology in Sydney, in collaboration with plant experts at leading plant-scaping solutions company, Ambius, shows just how effectively plants absorb harmful toxins. The study found that certain plants can eliminate high levels of pollutants from indoor air, with results showing a 97.9% clearance of alkanes, 85.96% reduction in benzene derivatives (including BTEX chemicals), and an 88.18% drop in cyclopentane. These petroleum-related chemicals are known to have significant negative health effects.
