Unpacked – Interview with Photographer Antoine Repessé, Part 1 of 2

Antoine has received much acclaim for his four-year project entitled “#365 Unpacked,” a series of photographic masterpieces featuring recyclable waste. In this series of photographs, he presents to us the 365 kilograms of waste that we, on average, individually produce over the course of a year. Actually, we can’t picture it. The strength of this project is to bring this issue down to a much smaller scale. To allow people to understand it, “Oh yes, indeed, I too contribute in spite of myself, to this massive production of packaging and waste.” Do we really have to generate all that quantity?
