Avaaz: the World in Action for a Better Future

“Is a global web movement to bring people-powered politics to decision –making everywhere.” Avaaz enables common, everyday people concerned about the essential issues of our times to take collective action on a global scale, thus making government officials and other leaders aware of the people’s wishes and motivating them to respond accordingly. Avaaz considers one of its greatest victories to be the 2015 signing of the Paris Climate Agreement by 196 state parties. Another type of Avaaz campaign concerns provision of rapid humanitarian aid in times of crisis. In one of its more recent endeavors, Avaaz started a campaign called “Stop the extinction crisis!”
